How do I secure the base in the ground
For soft soil push the base pipe down into the ground. Try to keep the pole as straight as possible, For harder soil, use only one prong, You can soak the ground for a few days to loosen up soil. This is a quality feeder made for many years of feeding fun.
Why do I need to place a corn cob on the lower holder
The Squirrels need to see and smell the corn. Placing the corn on the bottom corn screw. As the squirrels reach the bottom cob they can see and smell the upper corn. They will climb the base pole to access the top cob. Now your're swinging!

How long is the warranty
One year.
To adjust the counter ballance tube
Position counter ballance tube near the middle of the lower arm of the swinging tube. Adjust up or down to find the right ballance where the upper arm is staying barely staying up. This will insure the weight of the squirrel will swing the arm down and around.
